Quote
"A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him." -David Brinkley
High
This quote by David Brinkley highlights an important concept: the power of perspective.
In the case presented in this quote, there are three perspectives being presented, all having to do with what you see in bricks. Some people see bricks as weapons to throw at other people, causing destruction and pain. Others see bricks as an unstoppable force that will kill you unless you run. Finally, the "successful" man sees bricks as building materials.
None of these perspectives are wrong. The bricks don't get to decide what they're used for - you do. But it does turn out that some perspectives are more helpful (dare I say, "constructive" ๐) than others.
When faced with something that seems like a problem, try looking for a new perspective - you may find it drives you to be more creative and innovative in your approach to life!
