"I am struck by how sharing our weakness and difficulties is more nourishing to others than sharing our qualities and successes." - Jean Vanier
Everyone has weaknesses. Usually, we're ashamed of them - we want to hide them behind our strengths. Why? Because people don't praise you for weaknesses. Because being weak takes our power away and leaves us relying on others. But what if that's not a bad thing? Of course, some weaknesses are challenges that need to be overcome. But maybe there's more to the story. Maybe we aren't supposed to be perfect, self-sufficient people. In fact, sometimes our places of weakness are the very places where our most amazing experiences happen. They can connect us with others, and they open a space for things greater than us to reveal themselves. Our weaknesses let things in that we would shut out if it were our strength
So, those weaknesses that you can overcome, attack with your strengths!
And those that you can't? Maybe that's just a gap where someone else's strength can help you find your way!
